What are tetrapods?

Image
Tetrapod, in Greek, means "four legs". If you look at a tetrapod, you will see four legs sticking out of a central structure like a starfish. These four-legged tetrapods are nothing more than structures made of concrete that are used to prevent coastal erosion. The name has become so famous that even three-legged concrete structures are now also known as tetrapods. Tetrapods are designed in such a way that they dissipate the force of incoming waves by causing water to flow instead of against it. They also reduce displacement by allowing the random distribution of tetrapods to interlock with each other. Due to their weight and design, tetrapods can remain stable even in the most extreme weather conditions. Several tetrapods arranged together to form an interlocking porous barrier that dissipates the power of waves and currents.

What is the difference between Cemetery and Graveyard?

Image
From about the 7th century C.E., the process of burial was firmly in the hands of the Church (the Christian organization), and burying the dead was only allowed on the lands near a church (now referring to the building), the so-called churchyard. The part of the churchyard used for burial was called a graveyard. As the population of Europe started to grow, the capacity of graveyards was no longer sufficient (the population of modern Europe is almost 40 times higher than it was in the 7th century). By the end of the 18th century, the unsustainability of church burials became apparent, and completely new places for burying people, independent of graveyards, appeared—and these were called cemeteries.

What is portable technology?

Image
Portable technology, portable devices, fashion technology, technological tools, or fashion electronics are smart electronic devices (electronic devices with microcontrollers) that are used near and/or on the surface of the skin, where they detect, analyze and transmit information. concerning eg body signals such as vital signs and/or environmental data and that in some cases allow immediate biological feedback for the user. Portable devices like activity trackers are an example of the Internet of Things, as "things" like electronics, software, sensors, and connectivity are effectors that allow objects to exchange data (including the quality of data) through the Internet with a manufacturer, operator, and/or other connected devices, without requiring human intervention. Portable technology has a variety of applications that grows as the field expands. It appears prominently in consumer electronics due to the popularization of the smartwatch and activity tracker. In addition to...
